Buying this book is a "no brainer" because it is simply the best of its kind. It is very important to expose children to dictionaries at the appropriate times in their reading programs. Doing so tends to integrate important learning concepts with achievement of learning goals: Reading, word association, spelling, and increased comprehension.

This dictionary is fabulous and the lexicographers did a superb job. The pictures complement the text very well.

The only disadvantage is the weight, but that is not an obstacle. In my opinion, the best dictionaries are the largest ones.
