About the Author
Dan Haneckow writes about Portland and Oregon history and transportation topics. He has presented for the Bosco-Milligan Foundation's Architectural Heritage Center, Know Your City, Railvolution, the City of Portland Archives, Car Free Cities, Portland Public Schools and the Southern Pacific Historical and Technical Society. A resident of the City of Roses since 1990, he has written the blog Cafe Unknown: Portland Oregon History since 2005. He lives in North Portland's Overlook Neighborhood.
